Folders open on Day 1

Changes carry a date
A promotion, transfer or salary change is saved as a dated entry next to the old value, never over it.
Leavers are archived
Offboarding closes the record and moves it to the archive with its full history. Nothing is hard deleted.

Who can see an employee record?
The employee sees their own. HR sees the records its role allows, a line manager sees their own team, and salary figures are visible to Finance and the owner only.
What happens to history when someone changes role?
The change is saved as a dated entry beside the old value, so the record shows both and the date it changed.
Are records ever deleted?
No. A removed record is archived and kept, and the action is written to the audit log.
Does it work for Pakistan and the UAE?
Yes. The same record works for both, and each company runs payroll in its own currency, PKR or AED.
Who is a line manager?
Anyone an employee reports to. Tanzeem works it out from the reporting line, so nobody has to assign or maintain it.
